The Common Ground Hub was not built from a business idea. It was built from a need — the need for a space that never existed when we needed it most.
Coming to the UK at a young age, finding community felt impossible. Bullied for her accent, she lost her mother to cancer and survived trauma that most people never speak about. She built her confidence slowly and deliberately. Today she works in technology and leads the operational heartbeat of The Common Ground Hub — the space she never had.
At 18, depression arrived quietly alongside ambition. What brought her through was connection — not clinical intervention alone. She became a social worker because she understood that safe spaces change lives. She has watched women navigate gynaecological conditions without community. The Common Ground Hub is what she spent her career preparing to build.
A qualified Physician Associate working in hospital medicine with deep connections across gynaecology and oncology. Having personally battled ovarian cancer, she brings both professional expertise and lived understanding to Her Health. She ensures our events are accurate, safe, and genuinely useful for every woman in the room.
To create a safe, warm, and inclusive events space where women come together to share experiences, offer friendly support, and feel genuinely understood around gynaecological and reproductive health.
A world where no woman navigates her health journey in silence, and no adult navigates life without a community to turn to.
Everything you need to know before your first event. Can't find your answer? Get in touch.
A warm, informal space where everyone is welcome. Events are guided but relaxed — there's no pressure to share, no awkward icebreakers. You'll be greeted on arrival, introduced to the format, and given the space to connect at your own pace.
No. The Common Ground Hub is a peer community, not a clinical service. We create space for shared experience, peer support, and honest conversation — not medical advice or treatment. Crisis resources are always available at every event.
Her Health events are open to women and girls aged 16 and above. They focus on gynaecological and reproductive health — including PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, breast health and more. We also hold occasional Men's Understanding events — see below.
Stride is our community strand for adults aged 23 and above — all genders welcome. Events cover topics like mental health, career, relationships, finances, and life in general. Think honest conversation, real connection, no agenda.
Yes — as a special one-off series. These events are designed to help men understand women's hormonal and gynaecological health: the conditions, the impact, and how to offer meaningful support to the women in their lives. Watch this space.
Events are held at accessible venues across Essex. Specific locations are shared when tickets go on sale. We always prioritise venues that are easy to reach by public transport.
Tickets start from £5 per event. We deliberately keep prices low because we believe access to community and support shouldn't cost a lot. Some events may be free. Concessions are available — just reach out if cost is a barrier.
